About Me

I’m Tania Hernández Guerra, an Industrial Designer and Food Designer who works at the intersection of research, culture, and edible experiences. My practice is driven by curiosity and the belief that food is not only something we consume, but something we design, question, and share.

From painting as a child in Mexico City to living and working between Mexico, France, and the Netherlands, creativity has always shaped the way I understand the world. I approach food design as a space for experimentation, storytelling, and dialogue, where ingredients, objects, and rituals become tools to explore social, cultural, and systemic questions.

As a professor at CENTRO University, I guide students through research-based design processes, encouraging them to think critically, prototype boldly, and design with intention. I see food as a powerful medium to connect people, challenge assumptions, and imagine alternative futures for how we eat and live together.
